Saturday, 2.00 pm. A personal matter, recorded for completeness. I have been corresponding with a lady from a ghost walk in Fremantle, and I proposed, for the eve of Valentine’s Day, a joint observation of The Possession. Inside, if absolutely necessary.
The booking system would not have it. On Saturdays the Northbridge house wants four players at least. Any other day a pair is welcome, anywhere from two to eight, but Saturday is a busy night and the entity prefers a crowd.
As instructed, I rang on the day to ask whether a spare session might take two. There was none. Saturday night on Lake Street is no time for optimism.
We had dinner instead and watched the upstairs window from the restaurant. She said the figure looked lonely. I said that is what it wants you to think. She has not written since. Noreen says that was the wrong thing to say on a date. I say it is the only thing I know how to say.
